Position Overview:

At UF Health, we are committed to providing exceptional care through advanced technology and a collaborative environment. We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Cardiology PACS Administrator. This position plays a crucial role in the management and upkeep of our Radiology PACS System, ensuring seamless operations between the Cardiology department and Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

The Cardiology PACS Administrator will:

  • Oversee the daily functionality and maintenance of the PACS system.
  • Act as a liaison between the Cardiology team and IT to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Be available for on-call duties outside of regular hours.

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Relevant certifications in the field are advantageous.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in computer systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications.
  • Experience with Radiology and PACS systems.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Highly Preferred Skills:

Additional skills that are highly valued include:

  • Experience with Merge Cardio and Hemo Administration, including user management and procedure modifications.
  • Familiarity with Merge EA Archive administration.
  • Analytical abilities for effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL Reporting and Epic Radiant.
  • Support experience with St Jude EP systems.
  • Understanding of Clinical Epic workflows for efficient support.
  • Windows 10 administration skills for desktop support.
  • Experience with Philips Epic US carts and X-Ray modalities.
  • Knowledge of IT networking principles and HL7 interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with various teams across IT and maintenance.
