Job Description:

Burlington Stores is seeking a highly skilled Store Associate to join our team. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong sense of discipline and awareness. You will be responsible for monitoring store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to prevent theft and maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to prevent theft and maintain a secure environment.
  • Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting, promoting a sense of control and security.
  • Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of your surroundings.
  • Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
  • Possess a knowledge mastery of top shortage areas and support programs aimed at theft reduction.
  • Effectively communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies, collaborating with the Manager on Duty.
  • Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, AP/LP, or Operations is preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
  • Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.95 per hour, flexible hours, and an associate discount. Part-time associates may be eligible for Burlington's benefits package, which includes medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.
