Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Center

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Tacoma (Waldron) Endoscopy Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our digestive health services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients' biophysical, psychological, and social aspects affecting care
  • Organize and implement a plan of care based on the assessment for each patient
  • Evaluate plan of care and make changes as necessary
  • Identify pertinent patient history during admission process
  • Assess patients' needs continually from admission to discharge
  • Initiate care of each patient and relate needed information to MD and staff
  • Serve as a patient advocate to assure safe, efficient procedures and quality care
  • Evaluate patient responses; provide care as indicated
  • Verify completed charts and records to meet quality improvement goals
  • Coordinate all discharge instructions for improved patient and family compliance
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington
  • Previous clinical or gastroenterology experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Ability to actively collaborate and build a strong team within the Center and with the rest of WAGI
  • As a healthcare organization, the candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

  • PTO accrual at a rate of.04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40-hour week)
  • Vacation accrual with a maximum annual accrual of 77 hours as a new hire
  • 8 standard holidays each year for which full-time employees are eligible to receive paid holiday
  • 1 float holiday each year that can be scheduled
  • Hiring bonus in the amount of $3,000.00
