Job Summary

The Maricopa Community College District is seeking a Part Time Instructional Technologist to support professional learning initiatives across the Rio Salado College Adult Education program. This role will play a key part in identifying professional learning needs, planning and facilitating program-wide and location-specific professional learning sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of professional learning to support best practices for teaching, learning, and assessment across instructional modalities.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Instructional Services Director to assess professional learning needs and contribute to the planning and execution of professional learning activities
- Provide ongoing support and approved resources to instructional staff for the implementation of curriculum, professional learning strategies, and new academic initiatives
- Facilitate and support professional learning sessions, ensuring alignment with curricular developments, instructional strategies, and program goals
- Review and assess the effectiveness of professional learning activities, including the tracking of professional learning outcomes and analyzing feedback from professional learning participants to incorporate effective strategies into future professional learning activities

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, training and development, educational technology or related field and four years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development and/or assessment and evaluation
- OR an equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or closely related field
- Two or more years of experience in instructional design, technology integration, or professional learning development
- Experience working in K-20, adult education, or higher education environments
- Demonstrated experience facilitating professional learning workshops or training
- Familiarity with curriculum design frameworks (e.g. Universal Design for Learning, Integrated Education and Training)
- Ability to stay current with emerging trends in instructional technology and professional learning
- Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback, coaching, and support to instructional teams

Working Conditions

This position requires a physical presence on location with the possibility of remote work. The primary work location is RSC Tempe: 2323 W. 14th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281. May require occasional work at other college sites and some local travel.
