About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our team at The Menta Education Group. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage classroom behaviors and implement behavioral program policies and data
  • Provide general supervision of students inside the school setting and maintain classroom order and safety
  • Assist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behavior
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviors
  • Think quickly, independently, and tactfully to address student needs
Qualifications
  • Instructional/Special Needs background is highly desirable
  • Security or Juvenile Justice background is also highly desirable
  • Military Veterans are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to operate tactfully under stress and flexibility to change in routines
  • At least 23 years of age and able to work with high-risk special needs students
  • Good driving record and willingness to drive student van is strongly preferred
