The Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology seeks a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator to support our physicians and other members of the practice. This role is responsible for performing various front office administrative duties, ensuring the efficient delivery of patient services.

About the Role

This position requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of computer systems, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will be able to greet and assist patients professionally, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect copays, and perform other tasks as requested by the Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using multiple telephone line systems
  • Check in patients for appointments and check out patients at the end of appointments
  • Greet and assist patients and other customers with business other than appointments
  • Assure timely delivery of patient services
  • Verify insurance information and collect copays
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Office Manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year experience in a medical environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work scheduled hours as defined in the job offer
Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
