The Weitz Company, a leading general construction company, is seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Fort Myers, FL.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the project team in managing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects. This includes:

  • Reviewing and updating construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborating with the project team to complete requests for information (RFI) and review submittals.
  • Preparing inspections, compliance audits, and non-conformance logs.
  • Maintaining accurate project logs and monitoring material and equipment delivery status.
  • Tracking subcontractor requests for change and preparing change orders within delegated authority.
  • Understanding project scope and participating in schedule management.
  • Closing out projects by gathering punch list items, preparing as-built drawings, and assisting with warranty processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Prior construction experience or an internship in a project engineering role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance competing priorities.
