Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases.

Job Summary:

Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment. Administer medical substances for imaging or other procedures. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent: Preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • State Nuclear Medicine License: Required
    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from NMTCB: Required
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine: Preferred for HI
Essential Functions:
  • Prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment.
  • Prepares stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculates doses to be administered by radiologists.
  • Subjects patients to radiation.
  • Executes blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies following standard laboratory techniques.
  • Administers intravenous injections in accordance with established procedures.
