Overview:

A retainment bonus of $500 gross will be awarded after 90 days of employment, provided the employee is in good standing with the company. An additional $750 gross will be granted after 180 days, contingent upon continued good standing.

Key Responsibilities:

The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing tasks on the packaging line as directed by the Production Supervisor or Line Lead.
  • Maintaining performance and quality standards across all workstations.
  • Adhering to the regulations outlined in the employee handbook, safety manual, and GMP guidelines.
  • Utilizing equipment and tools safely and responsibly.
  • Promptly reporting any safety, mechanical, or quality issues to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
  • Being available for overtime during peak seasons or as needed by the company.

Specific Tasks May Include:

Overwrap Operator:

  • Understanding machine operational procedures, including start-stop devices and control settings.
  • Setting up and adjusting packaging film for loading and unloading.
  • Identifying and resolving jams quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Loading products into the infeed conveyor while maintaining line speed standards.

Carton Loader:

  • Loading frozen products into cartons while achieving established line speeds.
  • Inspecting printed cartons for color and quality.
  • Ensuring the integrity of overwrap seals.
  • Monitoring the flow of products for efficient line operations.

Case Packer:

  • Loading packaged frozen foods into cases while maintaining efficiency.
  • Removing improperly packaged products.
  • Inspecting cartoned products for proper sealing and alignment.
  • Responding to metal detector alarms by removing affected products from the line.

Case Erector:

  • Erecting cases to supply the Case Packer efficiently.
  • Reworking or correcting packaging issues as necessary.
  • Assisting with cleaning and organizing the packaging area.

Changeover Responsibilities:

During packaging line changeovers, additional responsibilities may include:

  • Setting up cartoning and overwrap machines.
  • Reconfiguring line setups.
  • Cleaning equipment and staging materials for upcoming products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • No formal education required.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Ability to read basic words and recognize similarities and differences in words and numbers.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve straightforward problems.

Physical Demands:

The role requires regular standing, use of hands, and the ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision capabilities include close, distance, and color vision.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, and moderate noise levels while performing their duties.
