Chief Operating Officer

MountainView Regional Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in Southern New Mexico, offering a wide range of services to the community. As a 168-bed facility, we are committed to delivering high-quality medical care to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all hospital departments, excluding nursing.
- Coordinate facility and program planning, budget preparation, and hospital policy formulation.
- Represent the hospital at professional, civic, and governmental organizations and meetings.
- Partner with physicians to recruit and retain top talent.
- Work with the CEO to ensure regulatory compliance and quality accreditations.
- Develop an environment that attracts and retains qualified hospital employees.
- Analyze areas for performance improvement and implement changes.
- Assist in planning new services to generate additional revenue.
- Manage costs by identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution.
- Master of Healthcare Administration or MBA with Healthcare emphasis required.
- Minimum 4 years of recent hospital experience managing multiple departments in an acute care facility.
- Experience in physician relations or recruitment required.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and community.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Knowledge of technical and professional skills management, general principles of human resource management, labor relations, and hospital economics.
