Peer Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Peer Tutor to provide academic support to students in a specialized class. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Excelencia Center to deliver high-quality tutoring services and support students in achieving their academic goals.

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support
• Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Collaborate with instructors and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance tutoring skills and cultural competence

• A grade of B+ or above in the course(s) for which you wish to tutor
• Recommended by the instructor who taught the course
• Have and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
• Organized, efficient, and flexible
• Commitment to academic integrity

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent customer service skills

$13.00 per hour
