We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Peer Tutor to provide academic support to students in a specialized class. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Excelencia Center to deliver high-quality tutoring services, promote student success, and foster a positive learning environment.

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support.
• Develop and maintain a schedule of tutoring sessions, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
• Prepare for sessions by reviewing course materials, notes, and other relevant information.
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship with students, instructors, and colleagues.
• Collect and maintain accurate attendance data for all tutoring sessions.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance tutorial skills and cultural competence.
• Make referrals to other campus resources as needed to support student success.

• A grade of B+ or above in the course(s) for which you wish to tutor.
• Recommended by the instructor who taught the course.
• Maintain an overall 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• Organized, efficient, and flexible.
• Commitment to academic integrity.
• Willingness to attend trainings and regular meetings.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills.

$13.00 per hour, up to 19 hours per week.
