Wildfire Regulatory Strategy Expert

Job Overview
The Wildfire Risk Organization at PG&E is responsible for preventing fires of consequence from being caused by our equipment. We develop objectives to prevent fires, meet commitments outlined in the Wildfire Mitigation Plan, foster trusted relationships with stakeholders, and implement the Lean Operating System for sustainable operations.
Position Summary
The Expert, Wildfire Regulatory Strategy, plays a critical role in supporting key Regulatory filings, including RAMP, General Rate Case (GRC), and Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP). This position will help the Wildfire Risk organization align and coordinate across Investment Planning, Regulatory, Business Finance, and other teams to ensure Wildfire-related work and costs are properly captured in various regulatory proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Wildfire Risk organization's leadership, Regulatory team, Investment Planning, and Business Finance teams on development of various regulatory filings with significant financial impact and high visibility.
- Ensure Wildfire strategy is properly and consistently reflected in various regulatory proceedings.
- Review and assist subject matter experts with development of testimony, work papers, and discovery responses related to Wildfire Risk work, settlement documents, and communications materials.
- Build working relationships across the CA Utilities to collaborate on common regulatory approaches and strategies.
- Develop a solid understanding of Wildfire Risk Modelling, Situational Awareness, Operational Mitigations, and long-term mitigations such as Undergrounding and System Hardening to influence development of Regulatory content.
- Develop and present summary presentations for senior management.
- Track and report relevant metrics, KPIs, and reports.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Job-related experience, 6 years.
Desired:
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills to deliver complex data and findings to Sr. Management.
- Experience with regulatory processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships across organizations.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving, strategic decision-making ability.
- Broad knowledge of project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods, and techniques.
- Familiar with the Utility industry.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
