Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and management of multiple construction projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project for managing and updating the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
  • Ensure alignment between the Superintendent's short interval schedules and the CPM.
  • Document and communicate project delays with clients and subcontractors.
  • Establish and manage project budgets based on turnover packages provided by estimating teams.
  • Track and manage all project-related costs to ensure profitability.
  • Maintain quality assurance throughout all phases of construction.
  • Verify subcontractor work before processing payments.
  • Negotiate and draft subcontract agreements and scopes of work.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage project profitability and margins effectively.
  • Provide timely and accurate project documentation to relevant departments.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and maintain organized project documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial construction processes and practices.
  • Proficient in construction tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in job costing and margin management.
  • Ability to resolve issues amicably with all project stakeholders.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.

Team Collaboration:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage field operations in a multi-state environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with various teams and subcontractors.
  • Oversee safety management programs and maintain project safety documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in commercial project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects valued between $5-$10 million.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, and Vista is advantageous.
