Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at Great Floors. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing, maintaining, and managing the day-to-day flooring business of builders, developers, project managers, and remodeling contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain work schedules and routines to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Communicate effectively with the Branch Manager, Installation Supervisor, installers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain a clean and professional office environment.
  • Oversee the administration, follow-up, and satisfaction of customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate material ordering, billing, job completion, and collection of accounts receivable.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, store meetings, and industry training opportunities.
  • Promote and enhance customer relations.
  • Communicate errors, omissions, and ideas for improved company procedures to the Branch Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of previous sales experience.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in accurate measuring and estimating.
  • Basic computer or typing skills to review and produce documents as needed.
  • Ability to understand and execute basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Outlook.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to direct and manage the activities of personnel.
  • Good organizational skills and follow-up routines.
  • Able to interface with peers, store personnel, suppliers, and installers.
  • Well-developed knowledge of floor covering products, their installation, and the general workings of the flooring industry and the construction industry.
  • Experience and comfort with service issues and claims resolution.
  • Ethical conduct.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit at a computer monitor for long periods throughout the day.
  • Must possess the ability to stand for long periods, reach with hands and arms, move among and between offices, handle mail and documents, sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift and move up to 10 pounds, and see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and files.
