We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and managing cost estimates for various construction projects.
Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
- Cost Tracking: Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
- Project Coordination: Work with the project management team to develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Proposal Preparation: Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates.
- Design Review: Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
- Cost Control: Track and record all project costs and ensure that projects are completed within the cost estimates.
- Risk Management: Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in commercial or residential construction or internship.
- Skills: Experience with On-Screen Takeoff software for estimations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimation software, ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities, strong attention to detail, and strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
