Job Title: Registered Nurse

Frontier Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Spokane. As a key member of our inpatient care team, you will provide direct treatment services to adults experiencing serious and/or chronic mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer and monitor patient basic care utilizing the nursing process within the RN scope of practice.
  • Medication administration/safety/monitoring.
  • Carry out physicians' orders as assigned.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership and goal-oriented productivity within scope of practice.
  • Carry out care plan objectives and goals.
  • Assist in delivery of client-centered care.
  • Standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all state WACs.
  • Facilitate therapeutic communication with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Complete thorough, accurate and complete reporting and documentation of patient's symptoms, and progress.
  • Effectively utilize customer service and motivational interviewing skills to promote appropriate patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to change and in working with diverse groups and individuals.
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the State of Washington at the time of hire.
  • Active BLS within 90 days of hire and must maintain active BLS.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in Psychiatric setting.
  • Previous inpatient experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate with individuals of various backgrounds, education levels and socio-economic statuses.
  • Ability to apply trauma-informed concepts and practices related to patient care.
  • Basic computer skills including ability to document in an electronic medical record, use electronic time tracking, use of Outlook, Word and intranet.
