Job Summary

The Food Runner/Expeditor is a vital member of our team at Sonny's Patio Pub, responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by efficiently and accurately delivering food orders from the kitchen to guest tables. This role requires strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the expo line and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate effectively with the back-of-the-house team to ensure that food orders are prepared properly and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent guest service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a warm and professional manner.
  • Assist servers and bartenders with carrying plates and performing side work as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year's experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures.
  • Knowledge of food handling requirements and proper food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food Handlers Card and ABC Service Certification.
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
  • Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system.
Physical Requirements

The Food Runner/Expeditor must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures and be able to lift at least 25 pounds. The ability to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees is also required.
