Job Title: System Engineer

Stratum Networks, a leading provider of information assurance and cybersecurity solutions, is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team.

We are looking for a talented individual who can design and develop secure voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies to ensure network security and performance.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor security logs and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to respond promptly.
  • Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and remediation.
  • Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage firmware upgrades and patches for F5s, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience or HS/GED with 19 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Ability to work on-call rotation as needed.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.
  • Candidate must have appropriate certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Category IAT Level II.

  • Competitive salary range: $119k - $247k depending on experience and contract.
