Smith Chason College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Cardiovascular Ultrasound program. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and guidance to students in the cardiovascular ultrasound discipline.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver lectures, optimize instructional resources, and set clear expectations for students.
- Lab Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare and maintain labs, ensuring the proper functioning of instructional equipment, including ordering supplies and reporting any dysfunction in a timely manner.
- Student Support: Assist students with questions about protocols, procedures, and policies, and provide constructive feedback.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate academic and attendance records, submit grades promptly, and report academic success issues to the Program Director/DOE using the appropriate forms and procedures.
- Professional Development: Participate in faculty meetings, engage in professional development, and foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
- Education and Qualifications: A minimum of four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught and possess a related degree at least at the same level as the course the faculty member is teaching.
- Certifications and Licenses: Maintain current certification(s) with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography license or CCI and all continuing education requirements set by Smith Chason College in the fields being taught.
- Technical Skills: Possess strong technical skills, including all computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
- Teaching Experience: Experienced with Canvas or related LMS usage for instruction (assignments, quizzes, discussion boards, gradebook, modules) is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time, can independently move objects up to 25 lbs, and have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office machinery.
