About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic II to join our team at EMCOR Group in Lakeland, FL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and adjustments to plumbing, mechanical, fixtures, doors, windows, and locks.
  • Plumbing Systems: Initiate general repairs and installation of all types of plumbing systems, including cast iron, PVC, CPVC, copper, and polyethylene (HDPE) piping.
  • Maintenance Equipment: Operate maintenance equipment and make minor repairs to building infrastructures and furniture.
  • Office Equipment: Repair and maintain varied office equipment and building components.
  • Carpentry: Perform skilled carpentry repairs in a Carpenter shop, operating power saws and other standard carpentry tools.
Requirements
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Plant Mechanic Helper, including a variety of mechanical and maintenance tasks.
  • Qualifications: Knowledge of the practices, methods, and tools of the maintenance and construction trades. Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and lift trucks. Ability to understand and work from sketches, penciled layouts, and rough plans and specifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.
