Key Responsibilities:- Leads, guides, trains, and monitors the work of level I mechanics and trainees.
- Oversees and performs various repairs and adjustments to plumbing, electrical fixtures, doors, windows, and locks, pump controls, and small engines.
- Changes ballast and transformers on light fixtures.
- Assists in repairs to electrical circuits.
- Repairs and replaces low-voltage systems.
- Creates, receives, and delegates work orders.
- Diagnoses and resolves difficult and complex problems.
- High school diploma from an accredited school or a GED.
- Five (5) years of experience in various building trades work at the journey level.
- Must have successfully completed training in gas and electric welding, brazing, soldering, and air conditioning.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Type-I, Type-II Refrigeration Service Engineers Society license on proper refrigerants practices.
The job involves medium work that requires walking, standing, stooping, jumping, stretching, or lifting all the time. It also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force regularly or exceptional skill, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands, or limbs in tasks involving very close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
