About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Medical Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with physical exams, point-of-care testing, treatments, and data gathering
  • Work at the direction of a virtual DispatchHealth Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
  • Communicate with patients and families to develop rapport and trust
  • Perform various patient care activities, including blood draws, EKG, splints, basic wound care, and other diagnostic tests and treatments
  • Provide discharge instructions in conjunction with virtual providers
  • Restock and clean equipment at the end of each shift
Requirements
  • EMT certification with Phlebotomy, or EMT-A in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant OR Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse, as per state regulations
  • Minimum one (1) year patient-facing experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment
