Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher to join our team at Guidepost Montessori.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a mixed-age class of toddler age children in a Montessori environment. This will involve:

  • Preparing a beautiful and orderly environment that fosters trust, exploration, deep learning, and independence.
  • Cultivating independence and self-confidence by helping children 'do it all by themselves'.
  • Providing lessons to encourage practical life skills, language, and grace and courtesy.
  • Forming personal connections with each child and cultivating a community of respect.
  • Communicating and collaborating respectfully with parents to provide the best possible care for every child.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Interest in pursuing certified Montessori training through our Prepared Montessorian Institute (fully-sponsored) or have previously obtained a Montessori diploma.
  • Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery.
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori and/or open to learning more.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
  • Bachelor's Degree (any subject).
