We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at Guidepost Montessori.

About the Role

  • Lead a mixed-age class of preschool age children in a Montessori environment, fostering independence and self-confidence.
  • Prepare a beautiful and orderly environment that encourages concentration, independence, and deep learning.
  • Cultivate independence and self-confidence by helping children 'do it all by themselves.'
  • Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child's development in practical skills, literacy, math, and more.
  • Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of respect.
  • Communicate and collaborate respectfully with parents to provide the best possible support for every child.

Responsibilities

  • Observe each child closely to understand and meet their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in Montessori education.

Requirements

  • Montessori diploma or certification for 3-6 age range.
  • Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a group setting.
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori.
  • Early Childhood Education or Child Development Units.
  • Bachelor's Degree in any subject.
