Job Summary

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic is a critical role at Martin Marietta, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our aggregate plant processing equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing issues with machinery, performing preventative maintenance and repairs, and ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on aggregate plant processing equipment
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
  • Maximize equipment performance by completing repairs and maintenance on a timely basis
  • Collaborate with supervisors and plant managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure backlog process is completed
  • Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas
  • Train and coach other employees on maintenance practices
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in heavy duty maintenance or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience related to the description
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and in areas with high noise levels
Working Conditions

All duties require outside assignments and may involve working in areas with extreme temperatures, noise levels, and dusty conditions. Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs.
