Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
Ascension is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date required.
- One or more of the following required: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
