Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist Supervisor to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision for an assigned Radiology area, ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned Radiology area, ensuring efficient and high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement new initiatives, programs, and policies to improve departmental safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other Radiology Supervisors, Managers, Faculty, and staff to ensure a high-level departmental safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Provide education and training to assigned team members, students, residents, and other learners.
  • Ensure compliance with VCU and VCUHS policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Lead Tech or equivalent Diagnostic Radiology experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience.
  • Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology that is recognized by the ARRT.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required for Diagnostic Supervisor Plus, one of the following specialty registries that is directly related to their department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing in a leadership role.
  • Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Radiation Science, Business, or closely related field from an accredited program.
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field from an accredited program.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and interact with customers in a professional manner. The position also requires the ability to adapt to frequent changes and work independently with minimal supervision.
