Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Supervisor to join our team at VCU Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and leadership to our team of radiologic technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of radiologic technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and VCU Health standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Provide education and training to staff on new technologies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required for Diagnostic Supervisor.
  • Plus one of the following current specialty registries that is directly related to their department: ARRT in Mammography for Breast Imaging Supervisor, ARRT CT for CT Supervisor, ARRT MRI for MRI Supervisor, ARRT CV or VIR for Interventional Supervisor, ARRT CT or MRI required for 3D lab supervisor, (CI) Cardiac Interventional Radiography, (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Lead Tech radiologic technology experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing in a leadership role.
  • Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Radiation Science, Business, or closely related field from an accredited program is strongly preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited program is preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent and intense customer interactions. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to frequent changes and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged standing, sitting, and walking, as well as frequent bending and reaching. The individual must be able to lift 20-50 pounds and be exposed to potentially hazardous and infectious substances.
