Mold Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Mold Fabricator to join our team at Cast Products. As a Mold Fabricator, you will be responsible for the construction and repair of molds to meet customer and company specifications.

• Design and Fabrication: Examine tool/piece part drawings and determine the sequence of operations necessary for mold construction.
• Mold Construction: Construct molds to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Supply Chain Management: Notify the Tool Room Manager when molds require heat treating, wire burning, jig-grinding, polishing, blanchard grinding, or engraving.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed molds and complete a steel checklist to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communication: Notify the Tool Room Manager when jobs are completed and submit a New Die Checklist.
• Machining Operations: Operate CNC, mill, grinder, lathe, saw, and EDM machines to fabricate molds.
• Supply Request: Request necessary supplies, such as carbon, cutters, and components.
• Time Tracking: Complete time tickets for operations performed and enter them into the computer at the end of each shift.
• Quality Assurance: Notify the Tool Room Manager of any quality concerns and stop jobs when nonconformities are detected.
• Repair Work: Accountable for assigned repair work and completion of associated repair tags.

• Mold Making: Proficiency in mold making techniques and processes.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret tool/piece part drawings.
• Measuring Equipment: Familiarity with measuring equipment and tools.
• Machine Operation: Proficiency in operating CNC, mill, grinder, lathe, saw, and EDM machines.
• Computer Knowledge: Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications.
