We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team at NSI Industries LLC. As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for the construction and repair of molds to meet customer and Cast Products specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Examine tool/piece part drawings and determine the sequence of operations necessary for mold construction.
- Construct molds to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Notify the Tool Room Manager when molds require heat treating, wire burning, jig-grinding, polishing, blanchard grinding, or engraving.
- Inspect completed molds and complete a steel checklist to ensure quality standards are met.
- Notify the Tool Room Manager when jobs are completed and complete a New Die Checklist.
- Operate CNC, mill, grinder, lathe, saw, and EDM machines to fabricate molds.
- Request necessary supplies, such as carbon, cutters, and components.
- Complete time tickets for operations performed and enter them into the computer at the end of each shift.
- Notify the Tool Room Manager of any quality concerns or nonconformities.
- Stop jobs when nonconformities are detected and notify the Tool Room Manager.
- Accountable for assigned repair work and completion of associated repair tags.
