Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to non-licensed staff as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment plans.
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with the care team to ensure a smooth transition of care.
Requirements
- 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
