About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Procurement and Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Olathe, Kansas. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all purchased materials meet our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance strategies.
  • Define and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct thorough supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality assurance best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on quality metrics and supplier performance.
  • Work collaboratively with design teams to enhance product manufacturability and quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or purchasing.
  • Certified Supplier Quality Professional (ASQ) preferred.
  • Strong expertise in supplier quality assurance, auditing practices, and quality management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with measurement systems, assembly procedures, and mechanical drawings.
  • Practical knowledge of machinery operation, quality auditing, and improvement tools.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive salary of approximately $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
