Job Summary

USI Holdings Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster - Specialty Insurance to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling complex claims related to marine, auto, property, and general liability insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect losses to determine adjustment parameters
  • Review claims, meet with clients, and attend depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Retain and monitor the activity of outside adjusters/appraisers and other experts as needed
  • Communicate with management and underwriting teams on larger, more complex claims
  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of complex claims in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices
Requirements
  • 5+ years of general liability insurance claim experience, specialty claims insurance adjustor experience, or a combination of both
  • High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required; college degree preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with specialty and general liability claims
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to analyze complex problems involving varying viewpoints and develop viable solutions
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to handle larger and more complex claims
