Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Capleo Global, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, documenting patient observations and treatments, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, participating in treatment and assisting with procedures, and contributing to the development and revision of patient care plans.

Requirements for this role include current LPN licensure or temporary license as a licensed practical nurse petitioner, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association, and at least one year of experience in a similar position. A graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is also required.

Essential Functions:
1. Participate in patient assessments by determining nursing care needs based on collection and interpretation of relevant data.

2. Recognize and determine need for immediate intervention.

3. Demonstrate knowledge that enables documentation of patient observations, treatments, patient response to treatment, and nursing care utilizing the nursing process.

4. Participate actively in treatment and assist with procedures.

5. Assist with development/revision of the plan of care by providing data and identifying potential goals and intervention for review by the RN.

6. Communicate with the appropriate clinical staff on the status of a patient if a significant change has occurred.

7. Implement the identified plan under the supervision of the RN, ensuring tasks have been completed.

8. Be aware of patient's progress and goals as demonstrated by documentation in the medical records.

9. Organize workload and prioritize responsibilities to ensure quality patient care is delivered in a time-efficient manner.

10. Obtain knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and perform only those nursing skills that they are competent to perform in accordance with legal boundaries and facility policies and procedures.

11. Document assessments, procedures, patient/family education, and the communication of information to appropriate members of the healthcare team in a timely manner.

12. Provide and assess the effectiveness of patient and family education under the direction of the registered nurse within the scope of practice as defined by law.

Required Skills and Certifications:
Current LPN licensure or temporary license as a licensed practical nurse petitioner required.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.

Required/Minimum Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in the position the worker is being submitted to; preferably 2 years or more.

Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required.
