Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD/CAM Engineer to support activities related to Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for all Aeronautics programs. The selected candidate will provide airframe design expertise to support the development and deployment of related CAD/CAM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide airframe design expertise to support the development and deployment of related CAD/CAM capabilities.
  • Coordinate with the Aero IT organization to develop and deliver viable tools for the Airframe Design CAD/CAM user community.
  • Develop supporting documentation (methods, standards, processes, and trainings) to support tool implementation.
  • Perform capability validation of Engineering tool and process requirements.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for application deployments.
  • Deliver prerequisite Engineering Dataset Standards, Methods, updates for the program process, and other documentation required in support of the CAD/CAM tools.
  • Review documentation and design artifacts for completeness, overlapping requirements, and solutions, and reuse opportunities.
  • Support resolution of technical issues within the CAD/CAM environment.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure project goals and program expectations are successfully met.
  • Facilitate discussions and dissemination of technical decisions and pertinent information.
  • Provide direct user support as required.

Requirements
  • Experience in Engineering Design processes and BTP (Build-To-Package) procedures.
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5 and 3DX application.
  • Experience with AGILE development processes.
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with LM Aero custom CATIA functions.
  • Familiarity with Aerospace Industry manufacturing processes and procedures.
