**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at Big Lots Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting our inventory management processes.

**Responsibilities**

* Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Maintain and operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately
* Participate in freight flow process, including truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
* Maintain appearance of the store's interior and exterior to company standards
* Perform daily front-end maintenance, including check stand cleanliness and replenishment of merchandise and supplies
* Perform other tasks as assigned by Store Leadership

**Requirements**

* Must be at least 16 years of age
* Strong customer service and communication skills required
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Prior retail experience preferred
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
* Basic English literacy and math skills required
