Role Summary:
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting advanced imaging procedures on patients. This role involves performing CT scans and assisting in CT-guided biopsies while maintaining a high standard of patient care. The specialist will work independently, demonstrating strong technical skills and effective communication with medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct CT imaging procedures and produce high-quality radiographic images.
2. Assist in performing needle-guided biopsies, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
3. Gather and document patient medical histories, explaining procedures to alleviate concerns.
4. Execute a variety of imaging techniques, including obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal scans.
5. Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and provide insights.
6. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience; preferred 2-4 years.
- Required certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and current Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
- Educational background: Technical School or Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
