Job Summary

Securian Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Structured Assets Credit Analyst to support the growth of our structured assets portfolios. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping us achieve our investment objectives through timely new issue recommendations, structural and underlying asset analysis, and ongoing surveillance of current holdings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of primary and secondary structured asset markets, including relative value analysis and investment opportunities.
  • Provide timely and insightful recommendations on new issues, taking into account structural and underlying asset analysis.
  • Conduct ongoing surveillance of current holdings, ensuring that risk is properly aligned with our investment objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of investment sector trends and positioning, including ESG considerations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inflection points and opportunities within our sector coverage.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance our research process.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in investment research, with a focus on structured assets and liability-driven investing.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, risk models, and mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and a willingness to learn and adapt.
