Job Summary

The Intervention Specialist role at Charter Schools USA is a critical position that requires a unique blend of teaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills. As an Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership
    • Develop and implement instructional strategies that promote student engagement and academic achievement.
    • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver high-quality lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
    • Provide coaching and support to teachers to enhance their instructional practices.
  • Student Support
    • Provide individualized support to students who require additional academic or behavioral assistance.
    • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support students with behavioral challenges.
    • Collaborate with school counselors and other support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support services.
  • Classroom Environment
    • Design and implement strategies to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a collaborative and supportive school community.
    • Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance their classroom management skills.
  • Discipline and Behavior
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce disciplinary incidents.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
    • Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance their discipline and behavior management skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive school community.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and academic achievement.
    • Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance their communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Successful experience in teaching, education, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong instructional leadership and coaching skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
