Monmouth University is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Health Center team on a part-time, on-call basis. As an On-Call Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting to the Health Center with illness or injury.
- Perform specimen collection, including phlebotomy, and conduct CLIA-waived testing for samples collected.
- Order diagnostic tests as appropriate to presenting condition and review, evaluate, and provide treatment based upon diagnostic findings.
- Provide preventive immunizations, allergy injections, and screenings for tuberculosis.
- Provide women's services, including gynecological examinations, pregnancy and STI testing, and counseling, and prescribe birth control options.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Health Services.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current NJ licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).
- Clinical experience in an ambulatory or similar setting with an adolescent and/or adult population.
- Ability to diagnose and prescribe for common, acute episodic illness and injury.
