Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bird Specialist to join our team at WesternExterminator. As a Bird Specialist, you will be responsible for performing bird control services safely and efficiently, while maintaining excellent customer relations and fostering long-term relationships with our district offices and service customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train company colleagues in bird and bat applications
  • Discuss unusual circumstances or problems with supervisors and/or sales representatives
  • Participate in group meetings to develop new and better ways to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Identify customer bird and/or problems and apply preventive steps where necessary
  • Complete initial technical training and participate in update training to stay current with proven methods and practices
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle in a state of cleanliness and good working order
  • Assist sales and management personnel in reviewing accounts and upgrading them as appropriate
  • Responsible for timely and proper completion of customer and administrative reports
  • Responsible for attaining productivity levels based on training, experience, and account type
  • Participate in off-hours and weekend services when requested
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp, and dusty locations
  • Use application and inspection equipment and small hand and power tools
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend/descend stairs and balance/work off ladders up to 60'
  • Able and uninhibited of heights
  • Acquire certification in Aerial Work Platforms and use of Hilti power actuated equipment
  • Operate aerial work platforms
  • Work off/balance on fixed and swing scaffolding
  • Will be required to obtain any required industry licenses
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search
  • Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $15.87-$23.80/hour
Annual Total Earning Potential after initial training period: $62,300 - $108,400 / year

In addition to the base pay, a Colleague working in this role who has completed training may be eligible to earn additional monetary compensation including overtime, incentive, and/or commission pay. Total annual earning potential may vary based on performance, assigned routes, and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
