Job Summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Implement speech therapy treatment plans and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide oversight of speech-related activities and adjust plans as needed to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices and treatment protocols.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Three years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and certification in Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with complex patient populations.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
