At TechFlow, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Specialist to oversee the operation of treatment facilities, ensuring the purification and clarification of water for various uses. This role involves managing and operating electric motors, pumps, and valves to control the flow of raw water into treatment systems, as well as administering precise amounts of chemicals such as chlorine and ammonia to maintain water quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage machinery to regulate the inflow of untreated water and add necessary chemicals.
  • Adjust automated systems to ensure the correct chemical dosage is administered.
  • Initiate mixing processes and control water flow through filtration systems.
  • Monitor and adjust system controls to maintain optimal flow rates and water distribution.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of tanks and filtration systems.
  • Perform repairs and lubrication of equipment using appropriate tools.
  • Analyze water samples for quality assessment, including testing for impurities and acidity.
  • Document operational data, including chemical residuals and water pressure metrics.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in using analytical tools such as colorimeters and turbidimeters.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational methods, safety codes, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and documentation.
  • Flexible and adaptable in various work scenarios.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a wastewater treatment role.
  • Wastewater Certification III.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to certain facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • OSHA 30 certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting and climbing.
  • Capability to handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Considerations
  • Potential exposure to various environmental conditions, including hazardous materials and extreme weather.
