The Role

We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join our team. As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and recommending improvements to enhance compliance and minimize risks. You will also be responsible for documenting SOX process flows, narratives, risk and control matrices, and information technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley: Support the IT and business teams in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements as needed to enhance compliance and minimize risks.
  • Document SOX process flows, narratives, risk and control matrices, and information technology platforms
  • Review and document annual procedure with control owners, create/maintain process maps, and assist control owners in updating procedures.
  • Coordinate with IT Audit and Internal auditors on ITGC and SOX-related activities.
  • Reporting and Remediation: Maintain visual management tools to identify control gaps and support the IT team in developing remediation plans.
  • Template Development: Develop and implement templates to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with IT and business stakeholders to find and execute against opportunities to improve controls testing and outcomes.
  • Train and support process owners if needed
  • Monitor the status of issues and remediation efforts

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in a IT Audit, IT risk management and/or compliance role. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT SOX and internal control concepts, be inquisitive and proactive in identifying problems and proposing creative solutions, and have strong collaborative and communication skills to coach IT leaders on compliance and controls.

Desired Skills

  • CISA or equivalent designation
  • 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in IT Audit, IT risk management and/or compliance role
  • ERP experience, preferably Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Fusion
