We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at NYU Family Health Centers in Brooklyn. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic films as directed by physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the efficient completion of radiographic procedures.
- Operate radiological equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Position patients and radiographic equipment to ensure maximum information is obtained, using lead markers and positioning devices as necessary.
- Follow accepted radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify examination requisitions and ensure accurate patient information is obtained.
- Perform routine quality control checks on X-ray equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the completion of special projects, reports, and activities as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
- 2-5+ years of experience preferred.
- New York State License required.
- ARRT Registry required.
