Summary: We are seeking a Certified Lactation RN to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, a full-service teaching hospital with a Level I trauma center. As a per diem Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a minimum of 3 years of Certified Lactation RN experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Accountability: Take ownership of your professional practice and growth, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient assessment, reassessment, progress, and goal achievement.
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, promoting patient safety and quality in all aspects of care.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, fostering collaboration and coordination.
- Establish caring relationships with staff, patients, families, and other team members, providing exceptional patient/family education and assisting with discharge planning.
- Administer medication and parenteral therapy according to policy and procedure, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for nursing care, prioritizing patient care delivery and applying critical thinking skills.
Requirements: A graduate of an accredited nursing program, NY State RN license, and current certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (I.B.L.C.E.) are required for this role.
