Bertie Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 6-bed critical access hospital in Windsor. It is closely affiliated with Vidant Medical Center and the telemedicine resources of The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Position Summary

This role creates the first impression of our services to patients and families and other external customers. Key responsibilities include outpatient scheduling, registration for all patients (emergency, ambulatory, and inpatients) and collecting proper data, documents, and signatures to ensure hospital bills are paid by third-party payer or the patient.

Serves as the first point of contact for physician offices and other customers regarding scheduling procedures at Vidant Health.

Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year

Requirements
  • High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher required
  • Associate Degree: preferred
  • Bachelors Degree: preferred
  • 2 years Customer Service experience
  • 1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting preferred
