ECU Health Bertie Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a critical access hospital, we offer high-quality surgical, emergency, and diagnostic services, as well as specialty and primary care clinics.

About the Role

This is a PRN, As Needed position where you will work alongside our experienced healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory tests, preparing patient specimens, and analyzing results to ensure accuracy and validity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests specific to department
  • Monitor test results to assure test quality and validity
  • Communicate test results in a timely manner
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment
  • Demonstrate appropriate, caring behavior in the workplace
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or currently enrolled in an accredited Clinical Laboratory Science Program (BS)
  • Equivalent laboratory training and/or work experience with the US military (2 years) will meet the education requirement
