Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Emergency Medicine
Rush Oak Park Hospital is actively seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to enhance their Emergency Medicine team. This position entails a rotating 10-hour shift schedule, collaborating with seasoned physicians and fellow APPs. The Emergency Department serves over 47,000 patients each year and provides a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient evaluations and formulate care strategies
- Request and analyze diagnostic tests and treatment options
- Prescribe medications in accordance with professional guidelines
- Work in conjunction with the healthcare team to ensure superior patient outcomes
- Oversee and mentor other APPs within the department
Required Qualifications:
For Physician Assistants:
- Valid State of Illinois PA License
- NCCPA Certification
- BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS to be obtained within one year
For Advanced Nurse Practitioners:
- Valid State of Illinois RN and APN Licenses
- Specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) with Pediatric Certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing
- BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS to be obtained within one year
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
